Mandy May was a writer and designer born and raised in Fredericksburg, Virginia. She believed in ghosts, magic and cats (she had three of them: Luella, Faustus and Babe).

Baltimore is where Mandy made herself at home, where they earned their MFA in Creative Writing & Publishing Arts from the University of Baltimore and were finishing their DS in Information and Interaction Design. A creative powerhouse, Mandy was a poet, designer, collagist, essayist, the author of Magic: Moon Tides Sing Violet Petals (Babe Press, 2016) and co-curator of Nasty: An Anthology of Dark Spirits (Babe Press, 2017). Mandy was a plant lover, card reader, star charter and beautiful spirit wrapped in bone and blossomed flesh.
